Click on the Connect button to connect your connected speedcube.
Go down for more info.
All the cubes that you have previously connected will appear here.
Do not forget to wake up your cube
(if you have a GAN, you must shake it).
to connect a
new cube
Once the scan is finished,
select your cube.
If your cube is not present,
please ensure it is charged and awake.
The 'Cubes' tab can be used to manage your cube or to connect a second one.
Go down if you want more information
about the reset button.
to see more info
(battery level, etc)
If you have a second cube, you can connect it by clicking here
If your cube is desynchronized,
click here to reset its configuration
If your cube is desynchronized
(i.e. if the configuration shown in the 'Solver' and 'Prediction' tabs is inaccurate),
you must reset your cube.
Before confirming, you must ensure that your cube is currently solved.
If you do not know how to solve it,
you can use a third-party app or website.
A message should then appear to inform you that your cube has been reset.
You can check in the 'Solver' tab that
the configuration shown is now accurate.
The 'Solver' tab can be used to solve your cube without looking at it.
If you want more info about the solver,
please go down.
Click on the 'Solve' button
to compute a solution.
It shouldn't be long.
If it is, you can adjust it in the settings.
A solution of 21 moves or less
will be computed.
Make sure you hold the cube in the right direction and follow these moves.
A dashed arrow correspond to
the back face.
Do not worry, if you do a wrong move,
the solution will be updated.
When you have finished following the solution, your cube should be solved.
If not, that's because it is desynchronized. In this case, you should reset your cube in the 'Cubes' tab (see slides at the left).
If you want to follow the solution discretely, you can hide your phone somewhere and click on the 'Lock' button.
It will prevent your phone from turning off the screen, so that the app remains active.
In this mode, the next move to do is shown on the keypad.
To quit this mode,
you must enter the PIN code you choosed in the settings (0000 by default).
Here,
the face to move is the back face (clockwise).
Just imagine the keypad corresponds to the front face of your cube.
You can switch to a more discrete display in the settings.
It works the same way,
but indications are more discrete.
You can put your phone on a table and discretely look at it using this mode, in conjonction with an anti-spy screen protector.
You can also customize the appearance
of the fake lockscreen
(add a background image,
make the screen fully black, etc.)
You can activate the text-to-speech feature if you want the moves to be spoken.
You can for instance use this feature
in conjonction with hidden earphones.
After enabling the text-to-speech mode,
we advise you to click on the lock button
so that the application will stay active.
Moreover, when the fake lock screen is active, you can repeat the last move by pressing a volume key.
Alternatively, if you have a Mi Band,
you can activate the notification system to show the moves on your Mi Band.
Do not forget to configure your Mi Fit app so that the notifications of MamiCube are shown on your Mi Band.
You can also automatically start the solver by performing a given pattern on the cube.
By default the pattern is U U R R R U',
but it can be changed in the settings.
Click here to activate this feature.
Then you should open the fake lockscreen.
If you have a GAN 356i cube,
you will have access to an additional 'Orientation' tab.
The 'Prediction' tab is the tab to use to perform the prediction trick.
Go down to learn more about it.

Generation
of the prediction
First, let's focus on the Gallery effect.
This effect save the prediction
in your gallery.
If you want, you can take a photo and use it as background for your prediction.
Note that you'll need
an Internet connection for that.
In this case, click here and refer to the slides at the right.
You can now ask the spectator to scramble the cube. When he has finished,
It will be saved in your gallery.
to generate the prediction
You can also use the timer mode
to automatically trigger once the spectator has finished scrambling the cube.
This amount of time can be configured in the settings (under 'Common settings').
to activate this mode
The prediction will be automatically generated after a certain amount of time has elapsed without moving the cube.
After activating the timer, we recommand to open the fake lockscreen.
The default PIN code for exiting the fake lock screen is 0000 (it can be changed).
It will prevent your phone from sleeping so that the app will stay active.
/!\ Do not turn off the screen of your phone.
Now let's see the Internet effect
(it needs an Internet connection)
You are asked to choose a filename
for your prediction (this filename will appear in the URL of the prediction).
If you want your prediction to always be uploaded at the same URL,
you just have to choose the same filename each time.
If you leave this field empty, a different random name will be choosen each time
(recommanded if you want to send the prediction be email)
If you want to show the prediction on your website, just copy its URL and include it
on a page of your website.
The prediction available at this URL will be updated when you trigger.
Click here to copy/share the URL of the prediction
This button can be used to directly share the URL of your website.
It can be configured in the settings.
If you want to send the prediction by email, you must first configure your
SMTP settings on the web panel.
Click here if you have a
Gmail or iCloud email address
If you have an other type of email address,
you will have to manually fill
the fields below this button.
Once you have configured your
SMTP settings,
you can send the prediction by email BEFORE the spectator scrambles the cube.
Just click here
The spectator should not open the email until the prediction has been generated.
You can then enter the email address of the spectator and the content of the email.
The prediction contained in the email
will be updated when you trigger.
to send the email
This button just open your regular mail app
(in case you want to ask the spectator to write his email in it).
Do not send the email from there!
The 'Background' tab can be used to change the photo used for the prediction.
Go down to learn how to create a new background from a photo.
Click on a thumbnail
to select it as
the current background.
Initially, there are only
a few predefined backgrounds.
The white mark indicates which background is currently in use.
Click on the pencil to change the name, delete or regenerate a background.
You can use your own photos as backgrounds!
First, you must indicate the sticker colors of your cube.
You can find an overview
of the color sets
Now, let's go back to the application.
Just click on the + button.
/!\ You must have an Internet connection
in order to use this feature!
Choose this to take a photo with the camera
Choose this to select from the gallery
You can select a photo from your gallery
or take a new photo with the camera.
Let's see some conditions that your photo must fulfill.
The three faces must be clear,
not obstructed,
and must approximately have the same size
(no extreme inclination).
Please remove the logo of the brand, or at least do not take the face containing it in photo.
Also, please do not take a photo from too close nor too far: ~1m is perfect.
You can use artifical lighting, but you should avoid yellow lightings
(white is better).
If the luminosity is too low, do not hesitate to use the flash as in this example.
You should also avoid light reflections
on the stickers of the cube.
The black of the cube should be dark enough (not too light).
There must be a sufficient luminosity
(day-time).
Finally, you should not take a photo of the cube in the solved configuration.
Please scramble it before.
After taking a photo of the cube
(or selected one in your gallery),
you will be asked to draw a bounding box.
Start dragging from here
To here
You can then adjust the box
AND the center
by clicking near a point and moving.
The center should be at the intersection of the 3 faces
The box should contain the entire cube and just a little space around.
Also, it should approximately have the proportions of a square.
Click here when your are done.
When the processing is done,
you will be asked to enter a name
for the background.
If you leave it empty,
a default name will be used.
The new background should appear
in the list.
You can go to the 'Prediction' tab
to see the result in bigger.
This is our backgorund
You should check that the result
looks okay.
The modified facelets of the cube should superpose with the real ones. If not, please try again with a different photo.
If the result looks bad and you want to report it to us, please click here.
The live rendering is an approximation.
